Pokémon Center Home Decor
The Pokémon Center teams wanted a line that was subtle and allowed an adult fan to show their love for the brand without obviously screaming Pokémon. I combined my love for mid century modern designs and the silhouette of Pikachu’s face into a retro and geometric look. This line was best-selling for the site.
My Role
After initial concepts and rounds of review I had to apply my designs to the items. Many of the products were a first for Pokémon Center so it involved a lot of work with production teams and multiple rounds of proofs to achieve high quality results. There were a total of 13 items ranging from a throw blanket to a lampshade and bookends. Due to many of the products being new, a lot of the packaging had to be created from scratch.

Pokémon Center Art
The Pokémon Center teams were looking for a geometric inspired series of art that was subtle and aged-up. I did four total pieces, two within two series. Each piece at first glance may appear to be of landscapes but within closer inspection you can see the Pokémon, perfect for an adult fan. These were all best-selling products on Pokémon Center.
My Role
I did two landscapes: tropical and snowy. Each features a few silhouettes of Pokémon that at first glance may appear to be regular plants and animals. I overlaid modern colors and patterns to create a dynamic scene.
I did two mountain lake reflection scenes: dawn and dusk. Floating on the lake is a silhouette of Lapras with Wishiwashi swimming below. I applied rough textures to the art to give it a canvas watercolor appearance.
